Household and community surveys, traffic surveys, environmental baseline data, demographic data collection, GIS spatial analysis, statistical analysis, and structured data reporting.
Sector and thematic research, policy analysis, needs assessment, organizational reviews, programme evaluation, research design, and reporting for government and donor submissions.
Hydrological and drainage studies, traffic and transport studies, infrastructure condition studies, land use studies, water resource studies, and site suitability assessments.
Training needs assessment, curriculum development, technical training delivery, project management training, safeguard training, GIS training, and on-the-job coaching and mentoring.
Organizational review, restructuring and systems development, mandate clarification, staffing planning, operational procedures development, and performance management system design.
PRCS provides research, data collection, and capacity development services that address all three of these needs.
Our practice combines systematic field data collection, multi-disciplinary research, technical studies, structured training programmes, and advisory institutional development into a coherent service that strengthens the evidence base and the human and organizational capacity that effective development delivery requires.
Development decisions are only as good as the data behind them. Our data collection and analysis service provides project owners, government agencies, and development partners with the field-verified, systematically collected, and rigorously analysed data that planning, design, monitoring, and evaluation decisions require. We collect data across demographic, traffic, environmental, socio-economic, and technical dimensions, translating raw field measurements into structured, analysis-ready datasets that directly inform project and policy decisions.

Research that does not connect to decisions is not useful research. Our research and development studies are designed from the outset to generate findings that are actionable, that address the specific questions project owners and policymakers need answered, and that are methodologically credible enough to withstand the scrutiny of government review processes and international development partner appraisal.
Technical studies provide the specialist analytical foundation that complex infrastructure and development projects require before design, investment, and implementation decisions can be made with confidence. Our technical studies draw on the full breadth of PRCS’s multi-disciplinary expertise, combining engineering, environmental, social, and planning knowledge into integrated technical assessments that address the specific questions each project presents.
Technical knowledge that remains with the consulting team at the end of a project adds limited long-term value to the organizations it was supposed to serve. Our training and capacity building service is designed to transfer knowledge, build skills, and strengthen the human resource base of the government agencies, project implementation units, and community organizations that are responsible for delivering and sustaining development outcomes in Bhutan.
Strong institutions are the foundation of sustainable development. Organizations that have clear mandates, effective management systems, skilled staff, and the operational capacity to deliver their functions consistently and accountably are the organizations that translate policy intentions into real outcomes. Our institutional development service helps government agencies, project implementation units, and development organizations build the organizational strength that effective development delivery demands.
Our research and data collection practice applies recognized methodologies and quality standards to produce findings that are credible, defensible, and genuinely reflective of the conditions and communities they describe. We do not produce research outputs that confirm pre-existing assumptions. We produce research outputs that accurately represent what the evidence shows.
Two decades of engagement with Royal Government of Bhutan agencies, Thromde administrations, international development partners, and community organisations across the country have built the institutional relationships and contextual understanding that effective research, training, and capacity building in Bhutan requires. We know how Bhutanese institutions work, what their capacity constraints are, and how to design training and development interventions that produce lasting change rather than short-term compliance.
Our research and technical studies draw on in-house expertise spanning civil and structural engineering, environmental science, GIS and remote sensing, socio-economic research, gender analysis, and urban planning. This breadth allows us to address the multi-dimensional technical and social questions that complex development projects present without fragmenting the research across multiple separate consulting firms.
Our capacity building programmes are designed for knowledge transfer and skill application, not passive information delivery. We use participatory training methods, practical exercises grounded in real project scenarios, and structured follow-up support that helps participants apply what they have learned in their day-to-day professional practice. The effectiveness of our training is measured by what participants can do after it, not by what they were told during it.
Our research and capacity development outputs are structured to meet the reporting and quality standards of ADB, the World Bank, and other international development partners operating in Bhutan. Our ADB CMS Registration No. 007794 reflects direct experience of delivering research, training, and institutional development services on internationally financed projects in Bhutan.
CDB Registration No. 101, valid Business License No. 1055056, Tax Clearance Certificate valid through 31 December 2025, ADB CMS Registration No. 007794, and BCCI membership. Compliant, accountable, and institutionally recognized.
Needs reliable field data, rigorous research findings, specialist technical studies, structured training programmes, or institutional development advisory, PRCS has the expertise, the methodological rigor, and the Bhutan-specific experience to deliver outputs that strengthen your evidence base and build the capacity your organization needs to perform.
